Competition rules
1. Fishing time is from 9:00-16:00. The shop will be open from 8am for final purchases needed. Competitor unique ID number cards will be handed at the shop out from 8:45. The shop will remain open for the day in-case you have forgotten or run out of anything.
2. Each competitor must enter separately. This is not a team event. Under 16’s may fish beside/with a parent/guardian, but fish caught may only be entered under one competitor’s name.
3. Your unique ID numbers must be shown in the photo when submitting a catch report. Catch reports will not count where this is not clearly visible!
4. Submitting report: All photos to be Whatsapp’d to 07808281258, after releasing each fish. All results will then be recorded as they are received.
5. All photos/results must be received by 4pm. Entries of catch reports must only be submitted on the dates and time of the competition, any entries outside of these dates will not qualify. The winners will be contacted and the results will then be posted to Social Media.
6. You are required to have a measure mat, or measure mat tape.
7. There is no minimum fish size. There is no maximum fish size.
8. Fish counted in total measurement will be top 3 of each Perch, Pike and Zander submitted.
9. All catch reports entered must have been caught by lure in the Cambridgeshire Fens (River, drain or lake). There is a free fishing stretch available locally; day tickets to other waters are not supplied by the store. Please be mindful that some waters are club only. (Map of free stretch can be supplied on the day).
10. A photo of good quality must be submitted of your catch with a visible measure along the full length of the fish in centimetres, with the head of the fish touching the “zero” with your unique ID also clearly visible. Photos will ideally show the lure of which the fish was caught on.
11. The measurement recorded is the total length, from the nose to the tip of the tail. Fish that measure between centimetre increments shall be recorded at the lower of the two increments. For example, a fish that measures between 45 and 46 centimetres will have a recorded length of 45 centimetres.
12. Any photos submitted may be used for promotion and social media use for Willow Grange Tackle and Bait and sponsors.
13. All Competitors must have a landing net, unhooking mat and unhooking tools.
14. Tickets need to be purchased before 27th October 2024, and there are no refunds for failed attendance.
