The Big Lerf is back with its much-anticipated Winter League, offering anglers in the UK and Ireland the opportunity to take on the elements and test their skills in the 2024-2025 season. This free-entry competition, spanning from December 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, promises exciting challenges and camaraderie for both seasoned anglers and young enthusiasts.

How to Participate

Joining the Winter League couldn’t be easier! To enter, anglers simply need to comment on the Facebook announcement post with their name. Junior anglers (17 and under) are encouraged to participate as well, noting their age to be included in junior categories. Each participant will receive an assigned number the night before the competition kicks off.

Categories and Prizes

The Winter League offers prizes across multiple categories, catering to both saltwater and freshwater anglers. Key prizes include the most species caught, with special awards for juniors, and the return of the popular three longest perch and flounder competitions. Participants can also look forward to new categories being introduced, adding an extra layer of excitement to this year’s league.
