Team England Lure Boat Squad Revealed – World Championships Ireland 2024

Steve Collett, the Manager of Team England, has meticulously crafted a formidable squad for the upcoming World Championships in Ireland, set to unfold in October. Nestled on the serene waters of Lough Erne, the team approaches this global contest with a wave of momentum, having consistently accrued points on the international stage.

In Steve’s own words…

“This squad has been a long time coming, taking a selection from the UK league and using my own eye for talent these guys are at the top of their game at the moment, I have brought in some newcomers, and mixed that with a bit of experience. It’s never easy, International competitions are unlike anything else we have in the UK, to compete you have to be the best of the best. Every year we are making marginal gains, learning, adapting, making mistakes, and making the right decisions, it’s all a learning curve, and we are heading in the right direction, we have a target, and we aim to achieve it.”

Thom Hunt & Kev Cox

“Thom and Kev need no introduction, they have been the absolute backbone of the squad since joining and they are fierce competitors always striving for more, last year in Latvia they displayed bravery, professionalism and skill, and most of all they still want to learn, they identify any shortcomings and address them, great anglers”.

Andy Page & Daniel Celeda

“Andy Page and Daniel Celeda are machines, every competitive angler in the UK knows this, and so do I. Their attention to detail is second to none, and of course, they can catch fish! This will be a great paring as they progress through the season, they are here on merit, they win, and win, and win!”

Dan Brackley & Adam Seeley

“Dan Brackley and Adam Seeley. Dan has been on my radar for years he is maturing, and concentrating his efforts on big competitions in Europe, I am looking forward to working with him this year and seeing how he performs on the ultimate stage. Adam has had a glimpse of international fishing and is a name for the future, although he hasn’t competed a lot in the boat fishing sector, his boat skills are nothing to be scoffed at, this boy could catch in a bath, and would be the pick of all the other team members”

With the stage set for the competition in Ireland on October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, Team England stands poised to showcase their prowess and vie for victory on the world stage.
