Pristine 4lb+ reservoir perch snared by Luke Jordan

Predator season is on our doorstep and for some, it has already begun. For others, particularly those targeting perch it started a while back. Already this season we’ve seen two huge river perch banked from the Thames, both over the colossal 5lb barrier – but what do the reservoirs hold?

With what is already shaping up to be a bumper year of huge perch weights here in the UK we turn our attention to the reservoirs.

Luke Jordan, a Gloucestershire-based predator angler has already been out with his brother and managed to catch a few decent perch and zander (zander to 12lb 8oz). The best of the bunch perch-wise being this pristine 4lb 10oz reservoir perch which Luke managed to snare with a crankbait fished in depths of water up to 40ft.

Returning the colossal reservoir perch

Luke who is a regular at the venue, last year managed to bank reservoir perch to 5lb+ which is an incredible weight. We look forward to seeing what this autumn/winter season has in store for Luke and his brother. Well done guys!
