In fact, he caught a stunning 3lb+ perch in October that is nothing short of a beauty. Mat’s fishing skills and determination are truly remarkable, and his success in angling is a testament to his passion for the sport.

Mat said “Seems like forever since I wet a line. This 3lb+ beauty from October came just as the light disappeared – as perch often do on milder days. A busy month of work and birthday celebrations has got me craving a few things. But no urge is burning stronger than the desire to hoop some carbon for a big old perch! “
