A Haul of 4lb+ Perch for Simon Ashton

Angler Simon Ashton has been enjoying some great fishing for big perch lately. He has successfully landed several large specimens weighing over 4lb, including a particularly impressive 4lb 8oz fish from a northern stillwater.

Simon noticed the usual signs of perch feeding after observing fry scattering in the margins so began to target them with lures. When this only produced pike he switched tactics to a float-fished piece of prawn and Sonubaits supercrush fishmeal worm which is when the action begun. 

Adapting to the situation allowed Simon to land the biggest perch he’s ever caught in the UK and well as some other equally impressive sergeants.
